Lightbox cleanup of the separate initial sketch..? Direct drawing on the same paper from start to finish..? Microlead mechanical pencil, leadholder or wood-clinched pencil..? I reckon it's hard lead, like H...
This is directly on printer paper. In photoshop I messed with the brightness and cleaned it up a little to make it look like inks, or at least so I wouldn't have to ink it.
I've assumed it's probably either F or H grade but you never know with scanning and darkening etc.
My favourites are 3H, F and H... used to swear by 2H.
