It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

In the end all we are is our options, no more, no less. With the factor of time and I mean what is left of it, we calculate the path of least resistance and most probable security. The options we are left with, are the ones we act like we always intended to have. Happy accidents, purposely made mistakes. whatever you need to tell yourself to be happy, is what you will believe. failure becomes teacher, and achievements become destiny.
We all agree that our outlook on our life is what we will get out of it, but for the most part we are only at best 35% in control of our life's. the accidents, the good and bad people we will meet, the timing, my god the timing. If life becomes too hard and starts to feel like a big tangled web, disregard your past; remember, the rest of your life begins today, everything before today is dead and no longer exists. minds have been changed and reborn, situations have repositioned themselves for a new angle of attack. Don't dwell, tomorrow will bring the new good old days.
